I rode the an ekit 12 when it first came out at Trikke Tampa, and it was a blast being on a trikke at the speeds I’ve never experienced before. I can imagine how much fun it is on a trail. I know it can be carved without the use of the motor and for those that enjoy the leverage the assistance can give, have fun.

However fun and getting from point A to B is a good part of what the motorized trikke is about, depending on the use of the motor.

In my opinion a non assisted trikke is meant for fun of course, but it also gives the opportunity to strive for endurance goals without the safety net of a motor.

Both offer the choice of jumping in to fun and exercise, while one forces the choice to see how far you can condition yourself.

All I know is I love my Pon-e. When bombing the hill in Redwood Drive Downhill Rumble(in the 3cvtv vids), having the heavy front 10 inch tire was very nice. I was moving very quickly and when I hit the pot holes it was nice to have that solid tire to count on.

The motorcycle type tire can be ridden even if flat or under-inflated it is so strong. I like the idea of being closer to the ground for center of gravity issues.

I have no idea how the 1t 2 ekit would ride but I am sure someone here wil.

  1. I am with you on lower ground positioning , I tried a Tri-bred in New Orleans and was amazed at the power and the comfort. Am a T12 owner and wonder about the same comfort and confidence standing on 13 inches off the ground! Probably though, with a little experience can carve at full throttle with the same T8 size confidence in a short time
